What’s new in WooCommerce 4.2?

So, what’s new here? We will give some main points about the new features of this latest release.

Minimum WordPress Requirement

Starting with the 4.2 release, the team will adapt an L-2 sliding window support policy. They are committed to ensuring that WooCommerce Core will work with the current WordPress version, as well as the two previous release branches.

Please note that, this WooCommerce 4.2 increases the minimum WordPress version to 5.2.

New Hooks and Functions

In this release, one new hook will be added:

woocommerce_menu_order_count : Enables filtering for the count of processing orders shown in the menu.

Also, there are some changes in a few hooks:

woocommerce_matched_rates : Added the customer as a third argument.
woocommerce_attribute_label : Fixed a bug that caused the prefix of global attributes to be removed from the second argument.

Our themes & WooCommerce 4.2

Currently, all our WordPress themes are ready with WooCommerce 4.1. Due to the minor update, all of them should be compatible with WooCommerce 4.2 and you can update it normally in your site. We also plan to update all of our WordPress themes for this release in the coming time.
